Fix #9: Building trust with customer reviews
Why customer reviews are one of the easiest trust signals you can add to your website
If someone lands on your website and they don’t know you yet, the first thing they’re looking for is reassurance. They want to know that other people have used you, trusted you, and been happy with the result. That’s exactly what customer reviews do — and if you’re not showing them on your website, you’re making visitors work harder than they should to feel confident enough to get in touch. If you’d like to understand just how much impact reviews can have, read my post on how positive customer reviews can transform your business.
The good news: you don’t need to copy and paste reviews manually
There are free WordPress plugins that connect directly to your Google Business Profile and your Facebook page, pulling in your latest reviews automatically. Once set up, they update on their own — so as new reviews come in, they appear on your website without you having to do a thing.
That means your homepage or service pages are always showing fresh, real feedback from real customers. Google likes that. And more importantly, your visitors like that. Where to put your reviews
The best place is somewhere visible without scrolling — your homepage is ideal, but any page where you’re asking someone to take action (contact you, request a quote, make a booking) will benefit. The closer the reviews are to your call to action, the better they tend to work.
